In the past, a mortgage net branch company was a company with loosely held arrangements with independent mortgage brokers to use their licensing and lender arrangements. Today, this type of relationship is not utilized by reputable companies. Reputable retail mortgage branch companies employ managers and loan officers as W-2 employees under fully compliant state and HUD guidelines.
